pxart ellipse

Draw a symmetric pixel ellipse (or circle), optionally --fill'ed; .5 centers give even sizes.

ellipse FILE[:frame] KEY cx,cy,rx,ry | --box x,y,w,h [--fill | --ring N]
usage: pxart ellipse [-h] [--box x,y,w,h] [--fill] [--ring N] [-o O] [--dry-run] file key [shape]

  ellipse FILE[:frame] KEY cx,cy,rx,ry | --box x,y,w,h [--fill | --ring N]
Draw a symmetric pixel ellipse (or circle), optionally --fill'ed; .5 centers give even sizes.

positional arguments:
  file
key a palette key, or '.' to erase
  shape

options:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
--box x,y,w,h instead of cx,cy,rx,ry: the pixel box it fills, as rect's (no half pixels: --box 0,0,8,6 is cx,cy,rx,ry 3.5,2.5,3.5,2.5)
  --fill
--ring N an outline N px thick, inside the shape (1: the plain outline); not with --fill
  -o O
--dry-run print what the edit says and a diff of the file it would change; write nothing

The ellipse inscribed in the box cx-rx..cx+rx, cy-ry..cy+ry: 2*rx+1 wide, so a whole
center and radius give odd sizes (4,4,3,3 is 7x7) and both ending in .5 give even ones
      (3.5,3.5,3.5,2.5 is 8x6 at 0,1; so is --box 0,1,8,6, rect's x,y,w,h: no halves). A thin
8-connected outline (Zingl's algorithm), mirror-symmetric, no stray pixels; boxes 1 or
2 px across are filled. --ring N: N px thick, inward (a halo).

FORMAT: selecting frames (FILE:SEL, an unnamed grid's name, zsh's "${F}:sel").

pxart help all has the whole reference, pxart help TOPIC one part of it.

This is the output of pxart help ellipse. The other drawing commands and their shared notes are in pxart help DRAWING.
